The Other ‘See You Later’

This is the weekend that we are heading overseas to Italy. We were able to stay with our good friends, Matt and Rachel for the past couple of weeks and really enjoyed spending more time with them. Friday night was our last night, and we caught this moment between Zoey and their cat, Blue Boy!

Friday, February 12, 2016:

Here is Blue Boy and Zoey looking at each other on their final night together (for now). Unsure if they are friends, they definitely have a mutual understanding of coexisting with each other 🙂

Today (Saturday), has been a crazy kind of day. We headed to see our families for the last time before we left. Some took it harder than others, but we all had that bittersweet feeling you get when something exciting is happening, but you feel sad at the same time. All in all, Nick and I are very excited to start this new chapter in our lives, but we’ll miss everyone in the U.S. greatly. We still haven’t met our 1-year married mark, so it can technically be our second honeymoon :).

Saturday, February 13, 2016:

Here is our ‘see you later’ with our pups, Zoey. She is looking very intently at grandma. ‘Grandma, do you have treats? I hear you do.’

It wasn’t as hard as we thought it would be to leave our little girl behind because we can see how happy and safe she always feels at Nick’s mom’s place. We are so blessed that Zoey can spend more time with grandma and other furry friends while we get settled in Italy.

Saying ‘See You Later’ to Some Friends

Saturday, February 6, 2016: Saying ‘See you later’ (not goodbye) to some of our amazing friends at Kings Bowling Alley and Yard House Restaurant.

We love you and will miss you during the months we aren’t here!

Saying Goodbye to Madeline Ave

Friday, January 29, 2016: We have been blessed with living in a beautiful house in such a loving neighborhood for the past three years. Now we say goodbye to it, and…

…here we say goodbye, for now, to our wonderful neighbors in BYOC (Bring Your Own Chair) Night the Thursday before we closed on our house. We love you all!

Zoey, look at the camera! 🙂
